How to Get Your Job Listings in Front of Qualified Candidates

How to Get Your Job Listings in Front of Qualified CandidatesHow to Get Your Job Listings in Front of Qualified CandidatesIf youre a recruiter, hiring manager or company representative in need of quality talent, you know the benefit of being where the people are. With apologies for the nod to animated fish stories, this advice couldnt be more relevant in todays super competitive job market. Quality candidates are often in short supply. This means finding the right person for the right job and also enabling interested job-seekers to easily find you, is essential to staffing success. Lets delve into just how to get your job listings in front of qualified candidates via simple tools, strategies and a little bit of advertising magic. The Importance of Job Titles and DescriptionsA job description is only as good as the candidate it attracts. Many times a poorly written description will turn off candidates who may otherwise be qualified and interested in the role. If youre a recruiter or in ternal hiring manager, work with the team on the ground to flush out a descriptive and attractive job description. List out the key characteristics, qualifications, and responsibilities of the position, being sure to list common industry terms to help provide vital keywords to someone with the right background. Dont forget to also give that job title a little love. Avoid reinventing the wheel with a snazzy, dressed up title if youre hoping to attract candidates with experience in the field.Casting a Wide NetAfter youve crafted a job description its time to get your listing in front of as many eager, job-seeking faces as possible. While the temptation may be to start throwing up the opening on every chat board, email listserv, and social networking platform, that strategy may not be the best use of your time or resources. Instead, launch your job listing on a platform that reaches the largest number of candidates. Services such as SimplyHired.com will guarantee your job comes up in m illions of searches. As a bonus, smaller websites and job site aggregators will often link to the larger listings further broadening the reach of your opportunity.Sometimes it Pays to PayFor those looking to get a little extra boost in their job filling game, sponsorship might be the way to go. Were not talking sports jerseys here. Paid advertising and sponsoring individual listings can help your position rise to the top of relevant searches or even deliver your opening direct to relevant users inboxes. Simply Hired offers a number of promotional options designed to help staff the most mission-critical roles on your team. Online recruiting deserves the best online tools.
